Volunteering
Each family is required to complete 13 points worth of volunteer shifts (with 1 point roughly equaling an hour of volunteering). Please remember that the Dolphins are a non-profit organization and rely on the volunteering of our families to keep our registration costs low.
Some volunteer opportunities are listed below:
Swim Meet Volunteering
Each position below is for half of a swim meet. You can sign up for the morning, the afternoon or both.
Concessions (3 points)
Timing (3 points)
Deck Monitor (3 points)
Runner (3 points)
Swimmer Staging (3 points)
Lane Writer (3 points)
Heat Winner (3 points)
Parking Monitor - AM only (2 points)
Setup - AM only (1 point)
Takedown - PM only (1 point)

Non-Meet Volunteering
There are also volunteer opportunities outside of our swim meets
Picture Day (1 point per hour)
Dolphin Dash Lap Counter (1 point per hour)
If your family fails to fulfill their volunteer responsibilities, a fee of $50 per point short of 13 (maximum charge of $500) will be charged at the end of the season. This $500 fee is authorized but NOT charged on your credit card at registration. Upon fulfillment of your volunteer obligation at the end of the season, the hold is released. If you fail to fulfill your volunteer duties, the appropriate charge is assessed.
